The SQuirreL module provides a powerful relational database based upon the data held within your Beaver system.

Using the industry leading MySQL database server, it enables you to use your favourite ODBC client tools to generate reports, queries or even other applications when coupled with powerful programming languages such as PHP.

Because the database is a copy of the Beaver data, you can locate this database on a separate server, or mirror it on multiple servers throughout your enterprise.

What's more, once the main module itself is installed, there are no client licencing costs - the ODBC connection software is available free of charge under the GNU Public Licence. Commercial non-GPL licences are also available.

SQuirreL currently supports MySQL only, with support for alternative databases such as Postgres and SQL Server in development.
