The web based optional module gives you the facility to allow users or customers to enquire on, and/or update data within Beaver from a web browser. Platypus is the way forward allowing your customers access to the information they want when they want.

You have control of the layout so you can decide how the page is laid out and allows you to add extra elements, for example your company's logo or illustration of the item being repaired.

All screens are generated from plain text layout files, which allows you considerable leeway to tune these pages to your company's and/or customers particular style.

Platypus is being rapidly expanded with new functionality being added by the day. The functions we've added fall into three areas:

• Internal enquiries - giving access to Beaver for people within your company who do not normally use Beaver but who want to see what's happening within Beaver. Examples might includes sales people checking prices or management checking the load on the workshop.
• Customer access - giving an alternative to BEAVER/Remote for customers who want to track the progress of their jobs.
• Customer data entry to provide you with advance notification of work that is on its way.
